Sigma Software is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Tableau Developer to be a one of drivers for current and upcoming projects. If you are familiar with Tableau, this opportunity is for you!

Our client is one of the leading providers of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to service providers. 

Project

The project falls under the high-tech division of one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Northern Europe. This division works with Big Data, IoT, and Embedded B2B products.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in BI reporting and visualization tools: 
    • Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop administration experience of at least 2 years 
    • Plus, ideally has some knowledge of some other tools (Looker, PowerBI, Carto) 
  • Conceptual knowledge of data analytic fundamentals, e.g., dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, and structured and unstructured data
  • Excellent communication skills and business fluency in English

Responsibilities

  • Help us improve our existing customer-facing dashboards and related backend pipelines
  • Be the Senior adviser and Developer of our new and more complex dashboard products
  • Have a good design eye and experience in working in a customer-driven way 

More specifically:

Existing front-end

  • Simplify existing dashboards
  • Improve user-friendliness
  • Minimize the number of bugs

Existing back-end

  • Administer Tableau server
  • Get to know our processes of generating and publishing data sources and workbooks, adding users, and assigning permissions
  • Maintain the processes and identify improvement areas
  • Simplify and streamline the processes above

New front-end

  • Advise on performance improvements and consideration when designing new products with large and complex datasets. This requires a solid understanding of live queries vs extracts, how Tableau is querying data and how it works best with large datasets
  • Develop new dashboard products
