We have a great opportunity for an experienced Big Data Engineer who is ready to show a high level of engagement in making technical decisions and work with Warehousing Management technologies.

Customer

Our customer is a rapidly growing US AdTech company which connects consumer experiences at scale via media and technology.

Project

We are working on a commerce platform for the open internet connects advertising, marketing, and CX through critical data and engaging digital experiences across platforms ranging from mobile to connected TV.

Across Connected TV, Mobile, and Desktop the product empowers premium publishers to create experiences that allow them to serve the widest possible audience as it optimizes consumers’ time and attention as well as delivers impactful results for advertisers. Brands and Advertisers have an opportunity to get on platform’s true attention guarantee of effective, zero-waste, high-engagement ad experiences that drive measurable brand funnel impact.

As a Data Engineer, you will be an important part of the team that owns data infrastructure and works with Warehousing Management technologies. This is no small responsibility, because data is important for AdTech product as air for every living creature.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of commercial experience in Big Data technologies
  • Experience with Warehousing Management and storage patterns
  • Good familiarity in Redshift
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of GCP cloud, GCP Big Query
  • High expertise in Python
  • Experience in Airflow
  • Familiarity with database fundamentals, such as ACID, snowflake schema, normalized/deformalized data
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English

 

Will be a plus:

  • Working experience with Scala
  • Experience working with HDFS and S3
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud
  • Experience in the advertising industry and with targeting

Responsibilities

  • Perform various tasks, from targeting and measurement to joining and aggregating huge data sets, and to integrating with third party data sources
  • Develop and establish data organization & data governance practices
  • Support and launch new features to satisfy business needs
  • Be an active and engaged owner of data platform
  • Be curious and seek to understand all aspects of the product
  • Comply with the best engineering practices, technical standards, and quality criteria set forth on the project
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across various systems
  • Collaborate with Data Products team to iterate on the roadmap
  • Gather requirements when underspecified
