As a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer you will work independently and will have direct communication with the Customer.

Project

As a Middle/Senior DevOps Engineer you will be engaged in migration of all today SQL-on-prem data pipelining and storages (50 TB) to Azure. Not as VMs with SQL but actually to cloud-SQL. This is about migrating solutions with re-defining architecture, making rework and redesigning while migrating. 

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of relevant commercial experience  
  • BS in Computer Science 
  • Strong experience of implementing Azure production systems 
  • Experience with Azure serverless application model 
  • Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) 
  • Proficiency with Databricks and Azure SQL 
  • Background in designing and implementation of continuous delivery practices 
  • Experience in migrating projects to the cloud 
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure cost calculation and optimization 
  • Experience with automation of manual processes or system administration tasks through code 
  • Good knowledge of performance benchmarking and diagnostic tools 
  • A solid grasp of networking fundamentals, preferably including hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, etc. 
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and root out inefficiencies 
  • At least Upper-Intermediate level of English (both spoken and written)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cloud infrastructure, collaborate with Microsoft support team in terms of system infrastructure improvements 
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the project’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, data security, data integrity, cost optimization with the perspective to lead these activities in the future 
  • Participate in tasks related to controlling, scheduling, planning, and doing the deployment of releases to different environments, ensure that the integrity of live environments is protected and that the correct components are released 
  • Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines) 
  • Maintain and monitor all network, security, and computer systems to meet the project’s current and future requirements 
  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of projects
