We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to add to our Ad Platform team.

The Ad Platform team is responsible for building and supporting key code bases, backend services, components, and user experiences driving the location advertising experience across all platforms (Desktop, Mobile, Connected TV). It builds and supports the full stack of critical campaign management and optimization tools and the agency-facing, self-service Gimbal Hub platform. As our partner continues to grow and evolve, so does the need to stay at the cutting edge in self-service functionality presented through our Ad Platform, and lower the friction to launch new campaigns, analyze campaign performance, and modify existing campaigns. You are responsible for realizing new features and supporting existing functionality across the entire stack.

Using their own hardware and software, their location solutions enable brands, media agencies, and marketers to deliver relevant messages to improve marketing communications and measure the effectiveness of their campaigns. Powered by an always-on location SDK, micro-location BLE beacons, and a complete advertising stack, their hyper-accurate location data allows brands to target consumers more effectively and attribute their spend via actions in the physical world.


The project is committed to bar-raising platforms that serve and support advertising campaigns to maximize viewer, advertiser, and publisher benefit.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in the software development field
  • 3+ years of complete software lifecycle experience
  • 2+ years proven experience with Ruby on Rails web services development, and scalable backend architectures
  • 1+ years proven experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5 / CSS / JS, Angular, and/or other modern approaches to frontend development
  • Prior experience developing web applications focused on simplifying customer workflows
  • Proven experience developing and integrating JSON APIs and defining API contracts that support a great user experience
  • Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience with using AWS technologies (S3, CloudFront, etc.)
  • Demonstrated team focus with a strong sense of ownership and developing pragmatic solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with configuring and using GitLab/GitHub based CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with full cycle development of full-stack web applications and services, deployed against AWS or GCP clouds
  • Experience working in teams using XP (Extreme Programming) or TDD (Test Driven Development) approaches to software development
  • Strong knowledge of authentication/authorization and application security (OAuth, SSO)
  • Experience with delivering solutions in the Advertising Technology vertical
  • Familiarity with the IAB standards supporting advertising solutions online such as VAST and VPAID
  • Strong knowledge of SQL

  • Develop the state of the art, scalable technology at the heart of our location-based advertising marketplace using data to help drive informed decisions
  • Be an active and engaged owner of the product and customer experience, collaborating effectively with Product Management, Design, Ad Studio, Full-Stack Engineering, and other functions
  • Maintain high standards of code quality, including testing and documentation, and encourage the same by providing constructive code reviews to collaborators
  • Work closely with senior engineers to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility of new features
  • Develop services that integrate with partner endpoints that manage the full lifecycle of advertising, from creation, delivery, optimization, and reporting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, problems, and errors encountered across our various endpoints
