Delivery Unit Manager (Document Management System)

We are in search for a passionate and motivated Delivery Unit Manager. We expect you to be a leader who will be driving organization and supervision of necessary processes, teams, structure and technology services composition to successfully deliver products to our clients.

You will be responsible for efficient management of dedicated pool of experts assembled into multi-project delivery unit dedicated to one client.

Working in a tight cooperation with Project Managers and under guidance of an Account Manager/Senior Project Manager, you will be constantly focused on tracking the satisfaction and quality level of delivery, introducing required correction, preventing/resolving conflicts by building up and implementing evolutional improvements strategies.

Main areas of attention will be:

  • Manage employees currently in the workplace and determine hiring needs based on each project requirements
  • Strive to achieve optimal utilization of all the employees available at any point in time making sure that the experts required for a project are obtained as per requirements, utilized optimally, and accounted for in terms of time and effort
  • Follow clear model of business goals fulfillment that include but are not limited to: headcount growth, utilization, internal customers’ satisfaction, and personnel professional growth dynamics
  • Control quality of works done by the subordinate teams and their conformity with quality norms adopted by the company and client, and also cooperate and collaborate with quality management and project management office to provide feedback and constant improvement of the utilized processes.


Our Swedish customer owns a large enterprise document management platform. The product is widely used in private sectors and constantly evolves and develops.

  • Responsibilities

    • Control of preparation and maintaining key project documentation, such as project charter, PM plans, etc.
    • On a high level, control the work being executed by the team, make sure the progress is as planned
    • Participate and arrange internal demos, arrange usability reviews, etc. to personally make sure the quality is according to requirements
    • Make sure TEX (technical excellence) requirements and practices are in place, check reports about TEX status, make sure gaps (if any) are reasonable
    • Interview potential candidates to open positions, make summaries and recommendations of further steps
    • Ensure and keep track of team members’ motivation, assess and influence team performance, manage team conflicts
    • Plan risk management procedures, identify, register and follow up risks. Define the most appropriate response strategy and CAPA. Properly and proactively communicate risks/issues
    • Manage 3rd vendors and suppliers, freelancers, service providers. Plan procurements, control the budget and their delivery
    • Immerse into escalated issues and conflicts, identify their root causes and eliminate them, support PM in resolving the issues
    • Plan, set up, and control key performance indicators, identify deviations and their causes, influence the causes to get projects to targets
    • Review and make suggestions to mentees’ personal development roadmaps, make appropriate suggestions to help them achieve their goals
    • Actively participate in company personnel growth and development. Support employees in achieving their self-development goals, help with assessment of skill gaps, suggest appropriate options to develop required skills
  • Requirements

    • Experience of working as a Project Manager in IT area for at least 4 years
    • Understanding of software development life cycle
    • Deep knowledge of project management methodology, tools, and techniques
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience in people management practices: coaching and mentoring, team and conflict management, team motivation, and team building
    • Experience working with requirements, risk management
    • Experience in communication with customers
    • High level of self-organization, attention to details
    • Tactical Planning and leadership
    • Strong communication and presentation skills
    • At least Upper-Intermediate level of spoken and written English
